Our client is a medical device company in Galway developing a new and innovative device to support the heart. Heart support devices are used by interventional cardiologists to stabilize patients in times of cardiogenic shock and acute heart failure. They are an enthusiastic team with diverse backgrounds and expertise, located in Galway & Netherlands.
The Role:
As the Electronic Engineer, you will be an experienced engineer with practical knowledge of electrical/electronic drawing/schematics, PCB layouts, and electrical and electronic testing and characterization. You will work on electrical/electronic equipment from concept to production for a medical application. You will be involved in a mix of electrical/electronic design, simulation, testing, and characterization in a multidisciplinary project.
This will be hands-on and include using machines and test equipment.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- PCBA and Schematic capture through Altium
- LTSpice simulation
- Experience with electronic test and measurement equipment
- Design experience to comply with 60601 regulations / standards. Working closely with a multidisciplined team (Mechanical & Firmware/Software)
Required Qualifications & Characteristics:
- 4-5 years experience in a similar role as an Electronics Engineer
- Strong fundamental knowledge of Electronics
- Candidates should have knowledge of FDA regulation processes for medical device engineering efforts.
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electronic) degree required.
