Biopharma Manufacturing Lead

An exciting opportunity for a Biopharma Manufacturing Lead to join a Biologics Leader in the West of Ireland. The Biopharma Manufacturing Lead will be responsible for organising and planning all operations, ensuring Manufacturing Technicians follow schedules set by Supply Chain and other stakeholders. Ensure all activities comply with EHS and quality regulations. Support Manufacturing Technicians and Technical Shift Leads in meeting the site's business goals and objectives.

Overview of your responsibilities (full job description available on request):

  • Schedule and plan activities for Manufacturing Technicians
  • Manage multi-product scheduling 
  • Ensure compliance with QA, EHS, and corporate standards.
  • Address equipment issues promptly, escalating to maintenance when necessary.
  • Lead or assist in Root Cause Analysis.
  • Use the skills matrix to drive cross-training and improve team performance.
  • Lead Tier meetings to focus on key shift objectives.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for the Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field or 4+ years in aseptic manufacturing.
  • Experience in aseptic techniques, formulation, sterile filling, and visual inspection of parenteral products.
  • Deep knowledge of cGMP and pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Strong grasp of contamination control.
  • Solid technical expertise in industry practices.
  • Good interpersonal skills for building relationships.
  • Preferably, previous experience in people management.
