Audit Partner Designate | Audit Director

Our client, a rapidly growing medium sized firm, who have offices in Meath, Cavan and Dublin are looking to hire an experienced audit professional to join their practise. This Audit and Business Advisory Partner Designate or Audit Director will be responsible for managing a substantial portfolio, driving growth, leading a well established audit team and ensuring clients are serviced to the highest possible standard.

Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management

  • Responsible for managing an allocated client portfolio.

  • Full management of client relationships, including meetings, WIP (Work in Progress), billing, and business development.

  • Focus on maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring satisfaction.

  • Oversee monthly WIP management and billing targets.

  • Ensure timely cash collections on the portfolio.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor audit staff, ensuring effective team management.

  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance staff development.

  • Support the onboarding and integration of new team members.

Client Relationship Management

  • Lead the delivery of exceptional client service, ensuring high standards across all engagements.

  • Strive to exceed client expectations and enhance their experience with the firm.

  • Work collaboratively across departments to optimize service delivery.

  • Anticipate and address client concerns proactively.

Business Development & Networking

  • Build and maintain relationships with key intermediaries.

  • Represent the firm at networking events, including Chamber events.

  • Develop and expand a strong referral network to generate new opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.

  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in audit, advisory, or accounting services.

  • Proven track record of managing a client portfolio, preferably in a professional services firm.

  • Strong leadership experience with a history of managing and developing audit teams.

  • Experience in business development, client management, and strategic growth initiatives.
