We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join an established manufacturing company selling in the construction, industrial, and retail sectors. This is a full-time, permanent position covering the Leinster Region. The Area Sales Manager will drive and nurture sales, develop sales strategies, and expand the market share. The ideal candidate will come from a background in technical sales and specification work in the construction /building industry.
Key Responsibilities Area Sales Manager :
- Develop and implement short, mid, and long-term sales strategies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
- Monitor and analyse portfolio performance, addressing underperformance proactively
- Lead Area Sales contact for key customers, ensuring high satisfaction, prompt query responses, and managing complaints.
- Identify and win new sales opportunities.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs or allocated accounts and products.
- Monitor the market, understand competition, create a competitive edge, and convey business goals into sales results.
Requirements:
- Proven successful experience in a technical sales role.
- Experience selling to construction, glazing, façade industries is desirable.
- Strong communication skills,
- Clean, valid drivers’ license.
- Analytical with good presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, using own initiative to organise, plan and complete own tasks.
- Ambitious and driven attitude.
- IT literate – Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
