Our Charity Partner
Collins McNicholas is delighted to support the work of the Irish Cancer Society through fundraising events and donations.
The Irish Cancer Society is a community of patients, survivors, volunteers, supporters, health and social care professionals and researchers determined to help anyone affected by cancer in Ireland.
Together they are transforming the experiences and outcomes of people affected by cancer through their advocacy, support services and research.
Their Vision:
By 2025, 3 out of 4 Irish cancer patients will survive their diagnosis and everyone affected by the disease will have access to world-class treatment, care and support. In the future, no one in Ireland will die from cancer.
Shamrock Shuffle (9,000 steps a day) - March

In 2020 alone, an estimated 44,000 people received a cancer diagnosis in Ireland. That’s 120 people every day hearing the words “you have cancer” throughout the country. That’s 5 people every hour hearing the words “you have cancer” throughout the country. As a result, there is an enormous need for support and information for patients and their loved ones in every community in the country.
The Irish Cancer Society is there to provide support at every point along the way:
Cancer Nurses provide free information and advice for patients and their loved ones
They offer emotional support for patients and the loved ones of patients who are finding it hard to deal with a cancer diagnosis
For patients undergoing treatment, they provide help getting to and from treatments in hospital through their Volunteer Driver Service and Financial Aid programme
Night Nurses provide in-home, end-of-life care for patients who are not going to survive their diagnosis
They produce and maintain free information on all types of cancer through
www.cancer.ie and their cancer leaflets and booklets are available for free on their website and in medical offices across Ireland
