Supply Chain Planner | Abbott

Contract: 12-month initial contract

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

We are partnering with Abbott to find a skilled Supply Chain Planner to join their dynamic team in Sligo. This role is perfect for a proactive individual who excels in demand and supply planning, ensuring high-quality customer service and effective financial management.

Role Overview

As a Supply Chain Planner, you will manage the demand and supply planning for a defined product group, ensuring the availability of quality products at the right time, place, and quantity. You will be responsible for financial and inventory management, supporting both internal and external customer requirements, and ensuring seamless operations at the manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Demand & Supply Planning: Ensure the availability of quality products in the right time, place, and quantity for a defined product group.

  2. Financial and Inventory Management: Manage financial aspects and inventory for products under your remit.

  3. Manufacturing Site Supply Plan: Develop and execute the supply plan for the manufacturing site.

  4. New Product Integration: Collaborate with Project Management, Regulatory, Marketing, and Commercial teams to manage demand for new and ramp-up/down products.

  5. Global Affiliate Support: Communicate with global affiliates regarding product availability, reservations, and special requests.

  6. Order Management: Coordinate with manufacturing sites to ensure timely delivery of orders.

  7. Reporting: Generate and maintain monthly/weekly reports and required KPIs.

  8. Process Improvement: Identify and implement system and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • A relevant third-level qualification, preferably a degree, and/or APICs or IIPMM qualification.

Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, ideally in a regulated sector.

  • Excellent communication skills across all organisational levels.

  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
