Our client, a leader in the automotive manufacturing industry and Ireland’s premier minibus manufacturer is seeking an experienced Automotive Spray Painter / Paint Technician to join their body shop team. Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, ensuring smooth, even finishes.
- Apply masking to protect surfaces from overspray.
- Prime vehicle parts to promote paint adhesion and durability.
- Mix paint to match exact specifications and colors as per client requirements.
- Operate a handheld spray gun to apply paint coats with precision.
- Conduct buffing and polishing to achieve a flawless finish.
- Perform detailed finishing to enhance the vehicle’s final look.
- Install body kits, spoilers, and diffusers on vehicles during the build process.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety protocols.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in automotive spray painting or a related role.
- Proficiency in following technical instructions and specifications accurately.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure top-quality finishes.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Ability to work independently, showing initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented mindset, willing to contribute to group tasks as needed.
- Familiarity with paint mixing, application, and finishing techniques.
- Experience in buffing, polishing, and detailed finishing of vehicles.
- Skilled in using a variety of tools, including handheld spray guns.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
