As part of their commitment to operational excellence, they are seeking a Qualified Electrician with expertise in electrical and automation systems. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to advanced manufacturing processes while ensuring high efficiency and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Develop, commission, and maintain automation and control systems for manufacturing operations.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and robotic systems to minimize production downtime.
Specify and select controls hardware such as PLCs, HMIs, motors, and industrial networks.
Provide programming and support for PLCs, motion control, and PC-controlled equipment.
Monitor and ensure compliance with safety standards, including CE compliance.
Build and maintain relationships with vendors and technical representatives to leverage new technologies.
Lead process and equipment improvement projects to enhance efficiency and performance.
Support analysis of products, processes, and equipment to identify improvement opportunities.
Mentor and train apprentice electricians to achieve successful certification.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
Fully qualified Electrician with proven experience in a manufacturing or automation environment.
Strong expertise in automation, control systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
Proficiency in programming PLCs, motion control systems, and related technologies.
Familiarity with robotics and material handling systems.
Knowledge of industrial safety standards and CE compliance requirements.
Hands-on experience with blow moulding, injection moulding, or similar manufacturing equipment is an advantage.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
