Our client, an established manufacturing company in Westmeath, is seeking a Process Technician to join their team. As a Process Technician, you will work as part of the Engineering team and play a key role in various stages of the manufacturing process, with a focus on machine and mould validation, new product introduction, and continuous improvement efforts. This is a full-time permanent position, 8am-4:30pm Mon- Fri.
Key responsibilities:
- Validates new moulds, machines, and equipment; optimizes processes and maintains Process Control Records
- Ensures processes run to a validated state
- Assist in the development of new work instructions and forms to support validation activities
- Ensures that work is carried out in compliance with company manufacturing procedures and Work Instructions
- Resolves technical product and process issues
- Works closely with toolroom and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues.
- Works on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects
Requirements:
- Minimum diploma level in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering or similar
- Previous experience as moulding/process technician in a plastics moulding company is desired
- Understanding & experience of running Design of Experiments
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
