We are partnering with a leading medical device manufacturer in Castlerea, Co. Roscommon to recruit a Maintenance Technician to join their teamon a permanent contract.

Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will:

  • Work with Engineers in developing, trouble shooting, standardising and improving existing production processes and procedures. As well as assisting in investigating and implementing new production methods. design methods, part sourcing and documentation.

  • Design, specify, manufacture, test and document production equipment, changes and improvements.

  • Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures with an assigned process or area.

  • Communicate any concerns about work process regarding environmental impact, health or safety issues to their Manager.

  • Set up equipment and facilitate changeover, calibrate equipment, perform scheduled PMs, change injection moulds and implement process improvements.

  • Ensure environmental impact of all operations is considered in relation to purchasing, waste management, recycling and energy.

  • Conform to the requirements of the quality and environmental management system.

Requirements:

  • A qualified fitter, toolmaker, and electrician or hold a mechatronic qualification.

  • Previous experience of working in a dynamic cleanroom manufacturing environment preferably in the medical device area is desirable.

  • Experience in changeovers and troubleshooting on injection moulding, Multivac packaging, extrusion blow moulding, running automated lines a ultrasonic welding.
