About the Role:

As an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, setup, maintenance, and optimisation of automated equipment. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the production line and contributing to the success of this high-impact project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair high-speed automated assembly machines.

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.

  • Assist in the installation, setup, and refurbishment of equipment.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and records.

  • Communicate potential issues affecting capacity and quality to the team leader.

  • Support Process Engineers with continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Contribute to efficiency projects through code upgrades and system improvements.

  • Ensure performance targets and production deadlines are consistently met.

Requirements:

  • Level 5 qualification in engineering or a related field (e.g., electronics, mechanics).

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Technician in a high-volume, automated environment.

  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC devices (advantageous).

  • Knowledge of electrical systems and automation processes.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a logical approach.

  • Hands-on technical skills and a proactive attitude.

  • Experience with robotics, vision systems, and debugging analysis.
