We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join an established manufacturing company selling in the construction, industrial, and retail sectors. This is a full-time, permanent position covering the Munster territory. The Area Sales Manager will drive and nurture sales, develop sales strategies, and expand the market share. The ideal candidate will come from a background in technical sales and specification work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement short, mid, and long-term sales strategies.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.

  • Monitor and analyse portfolio performance, addressing underperformance proactively

  • Lead Area Sales contact for key customers, ensuring high satisfaction, prompt query responses, and managing complaints.

  • Identify and win new sales opportunities.

  • Achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs or allocated accounts and products.

  • Monitor the market, understand competition, create a competitive edge, and convey business goals into sales results.

Requirements:

  • Proven successful experience in a technical sales role.

  • Experience selling to construction, glazing, façade industries is desirable.

  • Strong communication skills,

  • Clean, valid drivers’ license.

  • Analytical with good presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently, using own initiative to organise, plan and complete own tasks.

  • Ambitious and driven attitude.

  • IT literate – Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
