We are collaborating with one of Ireland's Leading Suppliers of material handling and customized automation solutions. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a client site in Portlaoise.
Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Portlaoise
Role Overview: As an Experienced Maintenance Technician, you will perform maintenance and support tasks on high-speed automated equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish standard equipment and system components.
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Maintain precise and up-to-date maintenance procedures.
Schedule and execute preventative maintenance tasks.
Proactively work to achieve performance targets.
Support engineering projects and lead maintenance group actions.
Provide detailed feedback on issues through the electronic management system.
Apply hands-on expertise to resolve machine failures.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, including disassembly, part replacement, and reassembly as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Mechanical or Electrical Technician role.
Craft Certificate Level 6 in Mechanical Maintenance or Advanced Certificate Craft - Electrical.
Experience in postal sortation is advantageous but not essential.
Competence in troubleshooting PCs, PLCs, pneumatic, mechanical, IT, and electronic/electrical systems.
Strong analytical skills for effective problem-solving.
In-depth knowledge of automated and conveying systems.
Experience in general maintenance and technical cleaning.
