Management Accountant | Hybrid

Great opportunity for a Management Accountant / recently Qualified Accountant to join one of the leading multinational manufacturers in Cork. In this role, you will act as a partner to the Production and Support functions and play a key role within the Finance Department. Permanent role with hybrid working options and significant progression opportunities.Competitive overall package and based on the south side of Cork city.


Overview of responsibilities (full job spec available on request):

  • Participation in the Management accounting close process, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, analytical reviews, and reporting.

  • Be an active participant in the site budgeting & forecasting processes, with responsibility for data gathering, productivity & manufacturing variance analysis and standard costing analysis at annual planning cycle.

  • Standard Costing process for the Cork site, responsible for the annual standard cost roll in SAP and monthly ad hoc standard cost setting.

  • Project Work; ad hoc project management & implementation as required (e.g. value improvement projects, system upgrades & developments, continuous automation).

  • Businesses partnering with business units to understand the business needs, support their requirements in terms of management information and develop their understanding & ownership of core metrics.

  • SOX compliance.

What the ideal candidate looks like:

  • Qualified or Recently Qualified Accountant with 0-2 years PQE (ideally within Financial Planning & Costing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment - but not essential).

  • Highly adaptable solution-orientated with a strong lean/CI track record.

  • Financial ERP system knowledge, SAP preferably (an advantage).
